CW benches Supernatural after February sweeps
The CW Network is following the lead of the other networks and adjusting its schedule due to the writer’s strike.
The biggest change: for the first time in the network’s 2-year history, there will be no episodes of Supernatural on its schedule.
The show is being replaced by repeats of Reaper, which will be showing twice a week (Tuesday and Thursday) during the last week of February before moving to its new temporary home on Thursdays after Smallville.
As of late, Reaper itself has been on a writer’s-strike-induced break for the holidays.
As of February 28, the Winchester Boys will be homeless.
The word is, according to SyFy Portal the network sees this hiatus is temporary – not a permanent exorcism of the show from the CW’s schedule.
