Scrapbook: First domestic partner insurance card - 2002

Now for non-gay people this may not seem like a big deal. But believe me, it is. This card was the first insurance card that I had that included Rich as my domestic partner and dependent. If you click and enlarge the photo, you’ll notice the name of “Joshua,” too. Rich became the legal guardian of his cousin after the death of Josh’s mother - this happened well before Rich and I ever met. They came as a package deal. Here, Josh was included on my insurance as my stepchild.
