The following is a list of my neighbors who have given money to support Proposition 8 in California – which would eliminate the right of same-sex couples to wed in California. These people have moved beyond mere opinion and are actively giving money to an effort to tear California families apart.

Shame on those who are part of a group who has suffered discrimination and yet still vote YES on 8….African Americans and Latinos for example. Religion has NOTHING to do with the constitution of our state. People used to use the bible to endorse slavery, did you know that? How would that make you feel…”well, the bible says that you’re less of a person because of the color of your skin, therefore you belong to me”. I’m willing to bet you wouldn’t just lay down and take it just because the bible said so.
Discrimination is Discrimination any way you look at it. It is hypocritical to apply specifics for your own convenience. I find that many religious people have a tendency toward this. Weather or not you “believe” in being gay it doesn’t matter. It exists and it isn’t harming you, your children will eventually know that it’s a part of the world, they may even grow up to be a gay person. Stop worrying about what other people are doing behind closed doors. This prop had NOTHING to do with schools and your children and p.s. MY life doesn’t revolve around YOUR kids GET THAT THRU YOUR HEAD. I’d rather a child be raised by two loving parent of the same sex than two hetro people who hate each other and are alcoholics and abusive (for example). MY god isn’t a hater.
I am going to actively search out businesses in Sunnyvale and make sure I NEVER give them any of my business.
